Mittwoch 3ter januar 22.00uhr - den Sofa gewidmet mit Rinus van Alebeek Sturmwind bedrängt Deutschland. Die letzte Tagen von dem Jahr stehen vor mir, jeder mit ein gepackten Koffer, wollen Sie mir nochmal zeigen wie das war, den letzten 18ter April, der 27ster Juni. Die Lampe wackelt, Asten streichen über das Dach. Ich stehe mit den Rücken an der Wand. Darin soll es einen Ausweg zum nächsten Jahr geben. Aber ich stehe hier in gutbürgerlichen Emigrantenkostum, als ob das nächste Jahr nicht 2006 sondern 1926 wäre: Ich bin doch kein Jazzmusiker. Und einen Tür gibt es anscheinend auch nicht. Mittwoch den dritten soll es bitte nicht regnen, und in der Puschkinallee soll auch keinem Baum umfallen wenn ich auf meinem Fahrrad vorbeikomme. Ich werde meine neue Aufnahmen aus Paris und Bilbao mitnehmen, und auch meine neue Diktaphones, und auch wenn keiner da ist, in Wendel jetzt, werde ich zuhören und spielen. Ich bin neugierig. Und ich habe Lust auf einen sauberen Tag. Vielleicht ist es besser wann keiner kommt. Den Sofa schlafft selbst ja auch noch.

kommentar vom 21. juli: hab die ausstellung selbst heute gesehen. bis auf den öffentlichen innenraum im 4. stock + graffitimuseum abt. all ist sie genauso eingebildet und selbstverliebt wie die backjumpsausstellung.

' Saturday we return to Wendel in Kreuzberg. Non-German languageneers might encounter a hard time, because there will be two performers who will use German lyrics for their stories.
Stefan Thielke, A German writer will read his short story that is situated in Berlin and India, against a sonic background made from original recordings of both the German capital and India.
Udo Noll will present his Radio Aporee. It is full of recordings with spoken word, or background noises, that were transmitted using a telephone, be it public, mobile or stabile. Perhaps slightly delayed real time interventions will take place.
The evening will be presented by Tore Honoré Boe, who some of the festival visitors have seen in action at Stralau 68. He will round off his Berlin stay with a dream concert that will start approximately at 02.30 and will last untill approx. 04.00 in the morning.
The whole programme, including Origami Boe and Origami Tacet's dream concert, will be held in Wendel. Entrance fee of 5 euro will be collected until the last moment, in order to preserve the intimacy of the night, and to avoid disturbance of audience and performers by casual onlookers.'

Some raindrops fall regardless of the day, but others fall for a
reason. They fall to remind us of something long forgotten. I still
don't know what that is because I am still listening, waiting, and
remembering. Meaningless rhythms? I don't think so.
I can also tell you that there are beams of sun that shine every
tuesday if you are looking in the right places. My name is THE
Instrument and I play here at WENDEL every Tuesday Night for the rest
of your life. Tuesday is a holy day for me, my brothers and sisters.
It has recently come to my attention that on tuesday night, there are
occasionally other events that take place. Like rain that has no
reason, these moments make me wet...spiritually wet.
Because these events take away from the general momentum of Tuesday
as a concept and cause an irksome sense of confusion amongst the
peoples I would like to propose the following. If you are interested
to produce an event on a Tuesday, please fill out the attached form (.pdf)
and send via post to me. If your event is compliant with the concept

Greetings, As you read this, I don't want you to feel sorry for me, because, I believe everyone will die someday. My name is Mr. Andre Vida, from the great plains of America, I have been diagnosed with Klityards' Funk Syndrome, which was discovered very late, due to my laxity in caring for my health. It has defiled all forms of medicine, and right now I have only about a few months left to "rock the shit", according to medical experts.

I have since lost my power of speech and can only manage quiet howls, as that has been the only way I am able to communicate. I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for anyone not even myself but my music. Though I am very rich, I was never generous, I was always hostile to people and only focus on my music as that is the only thing I cared for.
But now I regret all this as I now know that there is more to life than just bleatin' on the horn, getting laid by hot chicks, blingin' it up, cribbin' it up, cap'in it, sting'in it, getting my shoes shone real nice. I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this world I would live my life in a different way from how I have lived it, maybe.

Now that I know my time is near, I have willed and given most of my properties and assets to my immediate and extended family members and as well as a few close friends. I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul and so, I have decided to play every tuesday for the rest of my life at WENDEL, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I did on earth. So far, I have played many, many tuesdays at WENDEL, using my saxophone, mostly. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this my self any more. I now have to quietly howl instead.

Hence, I invite you to come and listein to my goddamn quiet howlin.
