Here's the fourth installment of my transcriptions of outtakes from "The
Basement Tapes".  Bob speaks rather than sings most of the verses, so the
positions of the chords relative to the words is a bit shaky in places. 
Still, this ought to get most people started.

A [D] neighbor was passing my garden one time;
She [G] smiled and I knew right away
That it was [D] gossip not flowers that she had on her mind,
And this is what I [A] heard my neighbor say:

"That [D] bad girl down the street, she should be run from our midst.
She [G] drinks and she talks quite a lot.
She [D] knows not to speak to my child nor to me."
My neighbor then [A] smiled, and I thought . . .

The [D] car speeded by, the screaming of brakes a sound
That made my [G] blood chill,
For my [D] neighbor's one child had been pulled from the path
And saved by a [A] girl lying still.

Her [D] child was unhurt and my neighbor cried out,
"Oh, [G] who is that brave girl so sweet."
I [D] covered the crushed, broken body and said,
[A] "That bad girl down the street."
